Tambayan Volunteer Orientation - with emphasis on Child Protection Guidelines

Background: Tambayan had conducted several activities with iVolunteer's network since last year. Early this quarter, we successfully mounted a community meet with volunteers interacting with our children. We aim to be more intentional as we immerse volunteers to our community moving forward. This orientation will help guide our volunteers in community interactions, as well as ensure our children's welfare is prioritized. At the same time, we hope to open more opportunities for volunteers to support our children and the cause in general by offering diverse ways to contribute. 

• Volunteers who sign up will be part of the preparations for an awareness campaign (helping the team with slogans-making)
• The orientation includes a briefer on child protection policy, brief workshop in preparing information campaign slogans, film-showing, and debriefing.
• Inclusion: light snacks, coffee
• We humbly ask for a registration fee of PHP 200.00 to subsidize our utility costs, transportation for our volunteers, and snacks. Thank you for your understanding.
• The excess collection for this orientation will be used to buy snacks for the recognition day of our youth graduates (ALS) this coming April 11. We appreciate your presence this April 9 as it contributes to our gifts for the children, thank you for wanting to learn more about our work and the cause. Thank you for supporting our children through this contribution.

Attire: Casual, Comfortable (Venue is indoor, room is airconditioned, we'll also be squatting on the floor during the film showing and some parts of the program)

Assembly time: 1:00 PM at the Tambayan Office

Dismissal: 5 PM or earlier

Instructions: Pag-abot Durian World kanto, sakay traysikel, ingna ang driver na pa Tambayan. Ilado ang opisina ug ihatod ka sa driver. 

Tricycle fare from kanto durian world to Tambayan: 10 Pesos (approximately 3 minutes via tricycle except kung naa pay ihatod lain ang driver)
